Sombrefo Print

The Sombrefo takes a different view on extraterrestrial invasion. The design has been screen printed with eco-friendly water-based inks in fluorescent pink and red.

This is a limited edition print and only one of these has been made during a color test exploration.

This print challenges the deep-rooted fears of the unknown by reimagining the UFO—a symbol often associated with extraterrestrial invasion—as a harbinger of joy and celebration. Adorned with festive warli symbols, the UFO invites us to question our initial anxieties: Did they come to party? Inspired by the idea that our fears of the unknown are often rooted in misunderstanding, "SombreFO" encourages us to rethink our reactions. Could what we dread actually be an invitation to celebrate? This artwork reflects a desire to transform xenophobia into curiosity and to see the potential for joy in every encounter—even those from beyond our world.
